Email Analytics

Measure the effectiveness of your email campaigns by looking at the Email Analytics Dashboard. We track four core pillars of email health: reach (Delivery and Bounce rates) and engagement (Open and Click-Through rates). Use these insights to validate your communication frequency, subject line strength, and call-to-action relevance.

NOTE: This feature is available to a limited audience. Don't see it? Reach out to Instapage Support through the in-app widget or at help@instapage.com

To view the performance statistics of your emails, you can:

  • Look at the main Emails dashboard for an overview.
  • Click on the percentages to go to the Email Analytics page.
  • Click the options menu on the right of each email, then click "View analytics". This will open up the analytics page of that particular email.

Definitions

Delivery rate

The delivery rate is the percentage of your emails that actually made it to the recipient's email service.

If the delivery rate is low, your emails are being blocked before your audience even has a chance to see them. It’s the first step in making sure your message is heard.

Bounce rate

The bounce rate is the inverse of the delivery rate - it represents the emails that could not be delivered to your recipients. This can be due to an invalid email address, a full inbox, emails being auto-detected as spam, etc.

Open rate

The open rate is the percentage of people who received your email and clicked to open it. It measures how many people liked your Subject Line enough to see what you had to say.

If your emails are getting delivered but not opened, you can work on the email subject line

Click rate

The click rate, or click-through rate, is the percentage of people who clicked the CTA in your email. It shows how many people were interested enough in your content to take the next step.

The click-through rate is your most important engagement stat. It shows that your message was relevant and that your call to action was clear and convincing.

Navigating the Email Analytics view

When viewing the analytics for a particular email, you can adjust the date range in the upper-left corner.

When several days are selected in the date picker, the "Activity over time" graphic at the bottom of the page will show the difference between days.

To view hourly stats, select a single day in the date picker in the Analytics view.
