Content - Website Templates
To begin designing the pages of your website, start with our pre-made layouts. After you click "Create Page," open the "Use Case" dropdown and select the "Website" option to view the available layouts.
You may also open the other dropdowns and select more attributes to find the design you need.
The industries we covered, in no particular order, are: Medical, Cargo/Shipping, Travel, Recreation & Leisure, Consumer Products, Consumer Services, Beauty, Law Office, Real Estate, SAAS.
Since each webpage must be created individually in Instapage, one website layout is, in fact, a set of templates—one for the home page, one for a contact page, and so on. The types of pages vary depending on the industry. You can find more information about website layouts here: https://d.pr/sqxbB7
Any page can be later edited in the page builder. If you want to add new blocks, we recommend using Fluid Grid Blocks as they are natively responsive. To learn more about Fluid Grid Blocks, visit this guide: https://d.pr/Obtf6B
Hosting and Security
All pages created with Instapage are hosted on our servers. We provide free SSL certificates for pages you publish on your own Custom Domain (more details about publishing can be found in the next section).

SEO
When you open the slider of a page to edit it, you will notice a section called Search & Social. That is where you can modify attributes of your page that are relevant to search engine optimization and ranking, such as Page Title, Keywords, Meta Description, Favicon, and Canonical URL.

Domains and Publishing
When you are ready to publish, we recommend choosing Custom Domain unless you are already using WordPress or Drupal. For a domain to be available for selection in the publishing screen, you must first connect it to your account.
A subdomain is necessary, and that subdomain can be "www" as long as you do not already have a website at that address. If you do, pointing "www" to Instapage servers will take down the existing website.
To publish on https://www.yourdomain.com, you will need to
- Go to Workspace Settings > Domains and click on Connect Domain
- Make sure to enter "www" when the system asks for a subdomain
- Create a CNAME record for "www" that points to our server address, secure.pageserve.co. If you pick the Automatic option in the domain connection process, this will be done for you by our partner, Entri.com
- Then, the last step is to set up a 301 redirect from https://yourdomain.com to https://www.yourdomain.com.
You can find a more detailed version of these steps here: https://d.pr/nOXqCl
Once the domain is connected, you can go back to the page slider and publish your first page. Please note that it is necessary to publish a page to the subdomain before the SSL certificate is activated.
After the first page is published, you may navigate back to Workspace Settings > Domains to generate a sitemap. All future pages published on the same subdomain will be included in this sitemap. For more details about Sitemaps at Instapage, you can read the full article here: https://d.pr/3gVSr3

Analytics and Heatmaps
With a live website, you undoubtedly want to review the statistics for each page. For an overview of our analytics and how tracking works, visit this article: https://d.pr/wUyIsx
Complementing this, our Heatmaps feature visualizes visitor behavior, revealing which parts of your page attract the most engagement to help you optimize for better performance. Learn more about Heatmaps here: https://d.pr/jUn3kj
To integrate with an external tracking service, we offer some native options such as GA4 and GTM, or you can always add the tracking code directly to your page. We have an extensive collection of implementation instructions here: https://d.pr/wMcL3e
