When going to publish your page after you are done working on it, you're presented with multiple publishing options. One of those is "Demo Page".
We offer this option in order for you to be able to test your page before you publish it to your own custom domain. It is a live environment where you can test functionalities such as form submissions, custom code, videos, integrations, lead notification emails, and everything else that is not meant to function in Preview Mode. Note that it does not have an SSL certificate and that you should not use pagedemo URLs for any live traffic!
While pages published using the Custom Domain publishing method are served through Google Cloud, pages published using pagedemo.co are served through AWS. If you intend to test your pages for their loading speed we recommend using the Custom Domain publishing method for the best accuracy.
Rest assured that no pages can be found by people who do not have the direct URL unless you manually disable the Hide page from search engines toggle found in the Search & Social tab of the slideout. The toggle is ON by default. It being ON means that the page has noindex;nofollow tags added to the page source and it cannot be crawled.
To give your page a testing URL, click on Demo Page, enter a subdomain in the given text field, then click on Save and Publish and a modal will appear with the URL of your page.
We do not recommend running ads or any other campaigns to a pagedemo URL. This domain should only be used for testing purposes!
To change this URL when you're ready to go live, Unpublish the page, then Switch Method and select one of the other publishing options.
NOTE: Publishing a page on pagedemo.co should be for demonstration and testing purposes only. Access will be limited to 30 requests / minute / IP. The same rate limit applies to leads.
