Page restrictions

In an interconnected world, businesses must follow international regulations and local laws to operate responsibly. However, these rules might not always be consistent across countries, which means that access to certain services or types of content can vary depending on visitors' locations. We want to provide more clarity on how Instapage operates when it comes these restrictions.

International Sanctions and Territories

The current global dynamic is complex and always changing. Government agencies like the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in the U.S., the United Nations (UN), and the European Union (EU) impose legal restrictions. Due to these, certain countries are under sanctions, and our pages might not be accessible in these territories.

For example, at the moment, our services cannot be accessed from the territory of Russia due to compliance with international sanctions. Since we do not have the technical capability to separate users in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine from users in Russia, access for everyone in these regions is blocked.

For a whole list of sanctioned countries, you can check it here: https://www.sanctionscanner.com/blog/list-of-sanctioned-countries-by-ofac-un-and-eu-2025-1103.

Restrictions in China

Access to Instapage and the landing pages built with it might be limited in the territory of mainland China due to its Great Firewall policy.

We’re currently using Google Cloud and Amazon Web servers for our landing pages, and while they aren’t being blocked in China, some areas might receive limited or zero traffic.

The firewall does not provide a reason, and there may be various causes for the block. You can try checking if your page is blocked by accessing this path: https://www.chinafirewalltest.com/, but even so, the pages might not always be accessible.

These restrictions are outside of our control, and users in China may experience difficulties reaching Instapage regardless of our platform’s availability.

Prohibited Content on Instapage

On top of the geographical restrictions, we enforce restrictions on the content that can be published through our platform. The following are not allowed:

  1. 1. Content that infringes copyright or trademark (e.g., unlicensed images, videos, text).

  2. 2. Hate speech, explicit sexual content, violent threats, or content that encourages illegal activity.

  3. 3. Malware, phishing pages, or pages used to steal credentials (malicious code / security threats).

  4. 4. Spam / unsolicited messaging or deceptive landing pages (fraud / deception).

  5. 5. Using Instapage to host a competing landing-page product or to redistribute Instapage’s service to others in violation of your subscription terms.
