Developer Access for Team Members

Giving a team member Developer Access is giving them the ability to use their own API key while working on your workspace and within your limits.

To learn more about using the Instapage API to pull account data, unpublish pages, and more, read the guide here: https://d.pr/QMkgUe

Enable Developer Access for existing team members

As the account owner, you can enable or disable the Developer Access permission for any of your team members from Workspace Settings > Team Members. Next to the column about workspace permissions (Manager, Editor, or Viewer), there is another column called "Developer Access."

Invite new team members

When inviting a new team member, you can choose whether they are a Viewer, Editor, or Manager and whether they have Developer Access.

  • Managers can create and delete groups, publish/unpublish pages, start/end A/B experiments, and do most of what the owner can do, with the exception of creating new workspaces or accessing billing information.
  • Editors can perform various operations within your account, but none can affect live pages. Those changes must be made by a Manager or you, as the owner. Editors cannot publish/unpublish pages, start/end A/B experiments, etc. They can save designs but not push them live.
  • Viewers can look at analytics and leads, they can view pages in the editor, but they cannot take action within your account.
  • Any of the above with Developer Access can use their API key (more info here https://d.pr/QMkgUe) to perform actions that are in accordance with their permission level. For example, Editors with Developer Access cannot unpublish pages using the API, but they can pull lead data with it.

You may change someone's role and Developer Access independently of each other at any point.
