Global Forms allow you to make changes to a form and apply those changes across all landing pages that use that form. This ensures consistency and saves time when updating forms used on multiple pages.
Saving a Global Form
You can save a form as a Global Form in four different ways, as follows:
1. From the Forms section under Assets from the menu on the left in your Dashboard. You can click on the three-dotted menu of the form you wish to turn into a Global one and select Save copy as global form. This will create and save a copy of that exact form that can be used globally.
2. Enter the builder of a page, click on the Form library button from the left side, and click on CREATE FORM. Once you’ve finished designing it, you can click on the SAVE AS GLOBAL FORM button and then INSERT to add it to the page. For more details on how to insert a form, you can check our article here: https://d.pr/Aj1ZBp.
3. Inside the builder, click on a form and select SAVE AS GLOBAL FORM. This option will be visible only if it hasn’t been saved as a global form already.
4. To select an existing form, click on Preview or Edit if you want to make changes to it. Once done, click on the three-dotted menu from the upper left corner, and select Save copy as global form. Then click on Insert to add it to the page. This will save a copy of that exact form as a global one.
How to Edit a Global Form
You can also edit a Global Form in 2 different ways, as shown below:
1. Click on it inside the builder of a page and select EDIT FORM, and make the necessary changes.
2. Edit from the Forms section under Assets. Click on the three-dotted menu and select Edit. Here, you can also rename, duplicate, or delete the form. For more on the forms library, you can check our article here: https://d.pr/Aj1ZBp.
Once you click APPLY CHANGES, a confirmation window will appear, showing which pages will be updated with the new changes. You will need to click on PROCEED to apply the changes.
Note: If you add or delete form fields, the form’s submit button will not move automatically. To prevent misalignment, go to Button style settings inside the form editor and enable the Fixed position and size toggle. This locks the button in place, ensuring it remains positioned properly.
Disconnecting a Global Form
If you want to update a form on a single page without affecting other pages, you can click on your form inside the page builder and then select DISCONNECT GLOBAL FORM. The form will now be a standard one, meaning any changes you make will only apply to that specific landing page and not across other pages using the Global Form.
