You can utilize Emails to follow up with the people in your List of Contacts. Whether you choose to use our template or design a personalized HTML email, you can easily schedule it to be sent to your contact list at the optimal time.
Important note: You can design an Email at any point, but you will need to have at least one contact in your lists to send it. For more information about integrating your pages with the Contacts feature so that the leads are sent to a list, please visit this guide: https://d.pr/u3yupt

Creating and managing emails
To get started, click "Emails" on the left sidebar of the Instapage app. You can then click on Create Email to use our template or on Build with HTML if you have a pre-made email that you want to use.
From the same view, you can search through your past emails and filter them based on their status. The filtering options are:
- All
- Sent
- Draft
- Scheduled
The three-dotted menu on the right side of each email contains the options to Edit emails that have not yet been sent, as well as Duplicate or Delete them. Only the latter two are available for sent emails.
Email Content
The content tab of the email builder will look different depending on whether you choose to create it with our template or with HTML. As illustrated in the split-screen image below, the HTML editor is a simple code container, whereas the Instapage Template editor has pre-made fields, such as title, body, signature, and more.
To rename the email, click on "Untitled email" at the top. This name is for your team internally, as you can designate the public subject line separately in the Settings tab.
A. HTML editor
This section must define the entire email, from top to bottom, using HTML code. We will include an unsubscribe link at the end automatically, but you control the rest of the email content.
This can be a good option for people who have already been creating their own emails in-house or are settled with a familiar third-party email builder.
If you want to use images in your code, you can upload them into your image library in Instapage, click on them and then right-click and select the option Copy Image Address. By doing those steps, you will host the image on our side and then can easily use the URL in the code. You can see the steps below:
B. Our template
The content tab here includes the following customizable sections:
- Logo - Upload your own logo with the option of making it clickable.
- Title - The title is the first text headline that people will read after opening the email. You can include placeholders in your text
- Image - Add an evocative image to accompany the message.
- Body - The bulk of the message you want to communicate.
- CTA - Decide whether a call-to-action is fitting for this email. The "Link and button" option will include a plain text version of the URL alongside the button.
- Signature - Sign off with your name and well wishes. You can also opt to include the logo in the signature.
Email Settings
Regardless of the way you add your content according to the previous step, the Settings tab is the same for everyone, and it covers how and when your email will be sent.
The Subject line is the first impression your contacts will have, so make it count!
In the Recipients section, you can choose who to send the email to - a single contact or a list of contacts. If you do not have any contacts yet, please consult this guide to get started: https://d.pr/u3yupt
If you select the "Only new contacts" option, then the email will not be sent to people who have already received one from you before. Please keep in mind that this refers to emails sent via the Instapage Emails feature and not ones sent via other services.
To Schedule an email, you can choose any date and time in the future.
The Sender name and reply-to email address can be customized so your contacts know the emails are coming from you (or your client).
We automatically add an Unsubscribe link to all emails to comply with industry standards and regulations.
Preview, Save, and Send
You can preview and send a test email to yourself before sending it to everyone in the contacts list. Please refer to the GIF below for an example of what that looks like.
To Save and Send the email, please make sure the "Settings" section is filled out first. There will be a confirmation window before it is sent.
How many emails can I send?
Each of our subscriptions comes with a daily and monthly email limit. The owner of the account can see this limit by going to My Account Admin >> Subscription.
You can also see:
- The monthly limit in the Emails section of the app, near the Create Email button at the top.
- The daily limit when you are in the Settings tab of the email creation process.
