Embedding custom HTML or widgets into an Instapage landing page

With this feature, you have the ability to add additional content on your pages such as chat plugins, videos (for YouTube, Wistia, Facebook or Vimeo you can use the Video element), iFrames, image galleries, or sliders and many other HTML widgets.

You can find fully custom video portals, podcasts, photo slideshows, carousels and more on the following websites:

Note: Embedded elements do not follow our built-in responsiveness rules, they do not interact with the rest of the page elements, with our native integrations, with our lead collection, or the lead notification emails, and submissions through embedded forms will not be counted by the "Form submissions" option under Conversion Goals. If you embed an element onto the page using code, it does not become part of the page structure from a technical perspective, it sits "on top" of the page, so to speak. The way the element behaves will be controlled by the software that generated it.

You can access the HTML element from the left sidebar:

By clicking on the HTML Element Button you will generate a preset HTML block that will appear on your landing page. The block looks like this:

To embed HTML, click on the “Edit” button. You will then be presented with a field for entering your content. After you've added custom content to the HTML element it will be displayed like the image shown below:

Now position the HTML block wherever you want on the page and click save. In order to see the widget, you need to view your landing page on the live URL. Note that the preview mode may mostly show the HTML as well, but for security reasons, it is very possible that the code will not render correctly there, since the preview mode is generated differently from the live environment. Make sure to test your code live before making any conclusions regarding it.

Just keep in mind, you should only use this feature if you're confident in your skills because it can affect the design of your page, and sometimes its functionality as well.

Note: While we enable our customers to use custom code to implement various non-standard or third-party features, we do not guarantee the functionality of such code. Instapage's Support Team cannot offer any coding assistance or troubleshoot the way this code behaves. If you need help in regards to a third-party snippet that you tried implementing, please contact the provider of the code.
