How do I create a multi-step form?

Using a multi-step form is extremely handy when you have particularly long form and you would like to split it in order to increase the conversion rate.

Here are the steps you need to take in order to create a multi-step.

First, you need to create all the pages and their respective forms.

For example:

After this is done, you will need to connect them into a single multi-step form, following the steps bellow:

Open the first page in the multi-step funnel,  click on the form and then Edit.

Choose Multistep from the menu.

Give this form a name and and assign a folder to it. (Chances are that you’ll want to create a new folder).

We named this first form Step 1 and added a new folder Spring campaign

Click Save.

Now, your multi-step is done and you need to include all the other forms to this multi-step.

Publish your page using one of our publishing options, if you haven’t yet.

Open the second page, go to the form, and click Edit.

Give this form a name and and assign the same folder used for first form.

We named this first form Step 2 and chose the already created folder Spring campaign.

Publish your page using one of our publishing options, if you haven’t done this yet.

Now you need to set up a redirect from form one to form two in order to complete this multi-step set-up.

Open the first page in the multi-step funnel, click on the form and then Edit.

Choose Submission from the menu.

Click on Redirect to Instapage and choose your second page from the dropdown.

Now your page one will redirect to page two after form submission and the multi-step is complete.

If you would like to integrate your multi-step with one of the CRMs, this is required only with the last form in the funnel.
